We strongly believe in Dr Abdul Kalam’s ‘Vision 2020’ and would like to work hard towards achieving this vision.

Mission statement

It is really unfortunate that in twenty first century we still have many poor families in India who can't send their kids to school due to various reasons. There is a high drop out rate at earliest levels of schooling. Especially, the girls are the main victims in majority of circumstances. Poverty is the most obvious reason for this. Education to girls is not just an issue of their fundamental right but also a vital factor to the development of progressive family and the society. Educating the girls will change their status from unskilled labors to very useful skillful assets for the nation.

Primary health care is still very ineffective in rural areas of India. Thousands of people, especially children, die of infections and infestations each year. The simple measures like boiling water, promoting use of mosquito nets, hand hygiene and others can cut down these deaths significantly. A lot needs to be done in the field of community health in our rural as well as urban areas. Access to primary and emergency medical care is the basic human right of the citizens of India.

Development of positive society can only be achieved by providing right education to our children and women, uplifting the women and providing an atmosphere of freedom in which our society will develop positively.

Our values

We work in a following way-

We provide rural healthcare in the form of primary and secondary healthcare services. We also teach and train the eligible people in basic life support and emergency medical management.

We provide educational support to poor rural girls to encourage them to continue educating.

We work for rural development in the form of village libraries, village gyms, and rural adult female education program.

We believe in power the youth have to be able to change the world.
We truly acknowledge the contribution and importance of the various other partners, including government and non-government organizations, working for social reforms.

Our Aims

Samyak education.

If the parents can't provide their daughters books, stationary and uniform, they would generally be forced to stay at home. If these girls are provided with books for the academic year, they would be encouraged to attend the school for that year. Now the only problem is of uniform. If they are offered at least one uniform a year, their parents would generally have no objection for their education.

Though the social reasons for drop-outs from school are not as straight forward as this, we know that the education can change the lives of these poor girls. This one year of education is likely to be the first step towards this change! We have been doing this kind of work in few villages in rural Jalgaon district.

Samyak Health

Samyak Trust will work in this field as follows-

Rural Hospital-

This project will be initiated in May-June 2009. This will have a modern eye clinic, an emergency, and orthopaedics-trauma departments. We would try our best to get surgery, gynaecology, paediatric and dentistry specialists to work in our set up. This will create a facility with multi-specialty input, a much needed service in the rural parts of Khandesh, an area made up of Jalgaon and Dhule districts of Maharashtra.

Community Medical Emergency Team (C-MET):

The local general practitioners will be encouraged to participate in our C-MET scheme. This scheme will involve rapid response to the medical emergencies, providing basic life support to the victims and transferring patients to the nearest hospital with facility to manage medical emergencies.

Samyak Trust Volunteers-

These volunteers will spread the health awareness in schools, colleges and community. They will also be trained in providing basic life support (BLS) in an emergency medical situation.
Health Camps- The interested doctors in the area will be involved in these camps. The health camps will involve health check ups and the appropriate referrals where needed.

Health awareness-

Raising health awareness will be attempted in the form of school and community lectures on health related topics. We would form partnership with government and other NGOs in this endeavour.

Samyak Sports

Promoting sports and exercises in rural parts of Maharashtra.

Ongoing Projects

Campaign against female foeticide
Tree Plantation
Education in community
Garden rennovation in Erandol town-Sane Guruji Udyan
Health clinics for poor villagers in rural Jalgaon district/mobile dispensory
School/college lectures to raise health awareness.
Samyak Trust Volunteers registration

Future Projects

Plan of action for the year-2009

Samyak Health Foundation

Health camps:

Samyak Education Foundation

Support female education:

Continue supporting education of the poor girls in Dahigaon Sant village.
Support poor Urdu school girls in the village of Bornar, 25 miles north of Jalgaon in north Maharashtra.

Clean Village/town Campaign:

This will be carried out with the help of Samyak Trust Volunteers.
